โš” LORINDAL — An RPG of the Old School

Lorindal is a party-driven dungeon crawler cut from old-school cloth — turn-based tactical battles, a sprawling spellbook, deep crafting, and a vast, dangerous world you push into one floor at a time. Roll a party of heroes, set out from town, and see how deep you dare to go.

No download — play free in your browser. Lorindal is an online RPG, so you'll create a free account (with a quick email confirmation) before you play. In return, your party and progress are saved to the server and follow you to any device.

๐Ÿงญ Your class is earned, not picked

Most RPGs make you choose a class before you've even swung a sword. Lorindal flips that. You start classless and simply play — cast what you like, fight how you want — and your skills rank up the more you use them (sling enough fire and your fire genuinely gets deadlier). The skills you build are the only thing that decides what you can do; no class ever tells you "you can't."

Then, at level 10, your hero's class emerges from how you actually played — drawn from your real skill usage, not handed to you off a menu. Push for mastery and you can earn rarer, mightier classes — but every offer is take-it-or-leave-it: hold out to reshape your path and you walk away from what you passed. Two heroes can start identical and grow into something completely different. No two paths are the same.

๐Ÿ—บ A world to get lost in

Set out across an overland map dotted with towns, then descend the dungeons beneath them. Every floor is freshly generated — winding halls, locked doors, treasure chests, and wandering horrors — and it gets deadlier the deeper you push. Your discovered maps persist between visits, so you always know where the stairs down are… and what's waiting on them.

๐Ÿ›ก Command a party, not a hero

Build a band of adventurers and take them into the dark together. Position your front line to soak the blows while your back line rains spells and arrows. Turn-based, tactical, and unforgiving in the right ways — every round is a decision.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Cast, strike, and master

  • Hundreds of spells and abilities across many schools of magic and styles of war.
  • Skills that rank up as you use them — the more you cast fire, the deadlier your fire becomes.
  • Dual-wield, two-hand, cast, defend, summon — flexible builds, no wasted turns.
  • A bestiary of 100+ monsters and floor bosses, from cave bats and slimes to abyssal fiends and void leviathans in the deep dark.
  • Newly animated combat — spells erupt in real sprite-animated effects, and monsters breathe, flap, snarl, and lunge as they fight.

๐Ÿ”จ Craft your legend

The shops sell the basics. The real power is forged, not bought. Learn a profession, gather materials from fallen foes and looted chests, and craft weapons and armor that outclass anything a merchant carries. Level your craft, unlock techniques, and become the smith other players come looking for.

๐Ÿ’ฐ A living, player-driven economy

Lorindal has a real player marketplace:

  • Sell the gear you craft or find to other adventurers.
  • Post a want-to-buy for the piece you're hunting and let someone bring it to you.
  • Commission a master crafter to forge gear your own party can't make.

Trades are handled safely on the server, and your gold and goods reach you even while you're away.

๐Ÿ† Compete and connect

Climb the leaderboards for deepest floor, greatest fortune, highest level, and boss kills. Swap tips, builds, and war stories on the community forums, and duck into the tavern for rumors from the road.

๐Ÿšง In active development

Lorindal is a living alpha, updated regularly — new monsters, art, systems, and quality-of-life land all the time. Jump in now, help shape it, and grow alongside the world.
